2018 World Cup qualifiers: No Ghanaian player made the CAF Best XI for match day 5

No Ghanaian player made the Best XI compiled by the Confederation of African Football after the weekend penultimate round of matches in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Egypt who beat Congo 2-1 in Alexandria to book qualification to the World Cup have Mohammed Salah and defender Ahmed Achraf and Hakimi on the list.

Morocco dominate the list with three players including hat-trick hero Khalid Boutib, Mbark Boussoufa and Achraf Hakimi.

Youssef Msakni who scored a hat-trick in Tunisia 4-1 win over Guinea has been named in the four-man midfield including Victor Moses and Percy Tau (South Africa).

Nigeria's Abdullahi Shehu was selected as the best right of the match day 5 matches.

CAF Best XI:

Goalkeeper: Khadim N'Diaye (Senegal)

Defenders: Ahmed Hegazy (Egypt), Kalidou Koulibaly (Senegal), Abdullahi Shehu (Nigeria),  Achraf Hakimi (Morocco), Achraf Hakimi (Morocco)

Midfielders: Youssef Msakni (Tunisia), Victor Moses (Nigeria), Percy Tau (South Africa), Mbark Boussoufa (Morocco)

Strikers: Khalid Boutib (Morocco), Mohammed Salah (Egypt).
