Aduana Stars midfielder Elvis Opoku is confident his side can cause an upset against AS Vita in DR Congo on Sunday.

The two -time Ghanaian Champions defeated the Congolese side 2-1 at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park in Dormaa to enhance their chances of progressing to the quarterfinals.

But a defeat against Vita club could dent their hopes of qualifying to the stage of the competition.

The 25-year-old is expected to miss the encounter due to the accumulation of two yellow cards believes the Ogya lads will win or at least return with a point.

“I expect the team to play well and win or at least draw the match, we have the needed materials to do so,” he told footballmadeinghana.com

“AS Vita are very good side and they have experience than us since they have played in this competition for many years  but I believe in my team and I think Aduana can get at least a point”

The attacking midfielder confirmed he will not play a part because of the accumulation of two yellow cards.

“I am not making the trip because I have 2 yellow cards."

"I am very confident that my colleagues will return with at least a point.”

Currently, Aduana are second with 4 points, same points as AS Vita in Group A with Moroccan side Raja Casablanca leading the pack with 5 points after beating Asec Mimomas 1-0.
