Public Relations Officer of Ghana Premier League Champions Aduana Stars, Collins Amo insists Yahaya Mohammed’s experience will be key in their African Campaign.

The Dormaa based club will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League next season, after winning the Ghana Premier League and hope to make an impact in the competition they last played in in 2010.

The Club resigned their former Star Yahaya Mohammed, who returned from Tanzania, after ending his contract with Azam FC on a two year deal as they prepare for next season, and Colins Amo believes the 29 year old’s experience will be important for the African adventure.

“We are happy to capture Yaya Mohammed. He will wear his favourite number 11 jersey…What’s more, he has the needed experience to help us in the CAF Champions League," he told FootballmadeinGhana.com

Aduana Stars have drawn Libyan side Al Tahaddy in the preliminary stages of the competition which will be played on the weekend of 9-11 February, 2018.

“He also has experience in Libya; that can also help us to conquer our first opponent, Libyan side, Al Tahaddy Benghazi” said the PRO in an interview.

Yahaya Mohammed was part of the team two seasons ago that nearly won the league only to lose in Wa to eventually Champions Wa All Stars in a crucial penultimate tie.

The former Kumais Asante Kotoko forward scored 15 goals in the Ghana Premier League before leaving for Tanzania, who he had a torrid time with Azam FC.
