Aduana striker Bright Adjei happy with revenge over Kotoko

Aduana Stars striker, Bright Adjei says he is happy with the victory over Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the Super Cup on Sunday at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

The Dormaa based club inflicted a painful defeat on Kotoko, after Bright Adjei scored the only goal to hand the Premier League Champions victory in the Super Cup.

The two times CNN goal of the week winner, said after the game he was excited with the victory after losing to the same opponents of the GHALCA G8 tournament which ended a week ago.

“We were highly motivated coming into the game and looking at the quality of the players at our disposal we are adamant about beating Kotoko especially having lost to them in the G-8 competition,” Adjei said in an interview.

“So coming into the Super Cup clash yesterday, our coaches and management spoke to us and we were poised for the clash and am very happy won and delighted for our supporters,” he added.

The Super Cup will usher in the new Ghana Premier League season, which is scheduled for February 11th.

Meanwhile, the "Ogya Boys" will be representing Ghana in the CAF Champions League and have been paired with Libyan side Al Tahady in the preliminary stages.

Having won he Super Cup, Aduana Stars will be eager to defend the Premier League title as well as making a mark in Africa, after they set the target of reaching the group phase of the competition.
