Ghanaian striker Ben Acheampong has sent a good will message to the Black Stars team ahead of their participation at this year's Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

The Black Stars who are in Group D with Egypt, Mali and Uganda are currently in the United Arab of Emirates preparing for the tournament.

Ghana will be hoping to end a 34-year wait for the African title and Ben Acheampong who is based in Egypt says he is hopeful of the team's chances of winning the tournament.

“I have always trusted the Black Stars and will not change my mindset despite the tough nature of their group.

“As a Ghanaian all I ask for from my compatriots is togetherness and patience. We need to stay together and support the team, not to chastise them.

“The Black Stars are in a very difficult group and the first game can determine their likely fortune at the end of the competition.

“I personally have the feeling deep inside me that the Black Stars will make Ghana proud once again”, Benjamin Acheampong revealed.
