Ghana and Torino midfielder Afriyie Acquah says the signing of England goalkeeper Joe Hart is massive for the Serie A outfit.

The English number one goalkeeper joined the Serie A outfit on loan from Manchester City where he was down the pecking order.

New manager Pep Guardiola has sticked to second keeper Willy Caballero and have brought in Claudio Bravo from his former club Barcelona.

Acquah, will join his new teammate after the international break but believes Hart will improve their stock this term.

Speaking to GHANASoccernet.com, Afriyie said, "He has the experience and personality to help us become one of the strongest teams in Serie A. He’s a great addition and he's the sort of goalkeeper every team will like to have.

"Our season will be great and I can't wait to meet up with him and prepare for our next Serie A match."

Hart joined Manchester City in 2006 but was sent out on loan at lower league sides in England before making a name for himself during the 2010/11 Premier League season.

He has played 348 games in all competitions for City since joining them, keeping 137 clean sheet.
