Ghana winger Albert Adomah returned from injury to play a part in his team's Carling Cup progress.
Aston Villa defeated Colchester United 2-1 to progress to the next stage of the Carling Cup on Wednesday.
Adomah made a return after missing Aston Villa's pre season due to a foot injury.
The 28-year old missed is expected to play a part in Villa's next game in the English Championship next weekend.
