Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has noted he is already looking forward to their opening-day trip to Burnley in next seasons English Premier League campaign. Swansea will begin their campaign with an away trip to play Burnley on match-day one of the 2016/17 EPL season. The Welsh side are currently in America on a pre-season tour where they thumped Swindon Town 3-0 in a friendly on Wednesday.

The Ghana deputy captain who has scored two goals for the Swans in pre-season admits he is already thinking about an opening-day trip to Burnley

“It’s always important to win because when you are a team, you want to win always,” he said.

“It’s good for us that we have got another victory, but what is more important is to play our game and to feel that we are ready physically and technically.

“We feel like we are getting there.

“Every game in pre-season we try to win, but what really matters is to get a win when the league season starts. Our focus is August 13.”
