Andre Ayew scores 12th goal to end season as Swansea topscorer

Black Stars deputy skipper, Andre Ayew ended his debut campaign in the English Premier League as the topscorer of Welsh-side Swansea City.

Ayew was tied on 11 goals with his Icelandic teammate heading into their final game with Manchester City on Sunday at the Liberty Stadium.

The 26-year-old drew Swansea level from a deflected free-kick in the 45th minute after Nigerian youngster Kelechi Iheanacho had shot City in front in the 5th minute.

Ayew was named Swansea City’s best newcomer of the season last week after enjoying a sparkling season in the English Premier League winning three Swansea City Player of the Month awards and one Barclays Premiership player of the month award.

The former Olympique Marseille star who has been deployed as a central striker lately is already reported to be on his way out of Swansea City who are struggling to hold on to their talisman.
