Andre Ayew's West Ham secure a point the Hawthorns

Ghana deputy skipper Andre Ayew was introduced in the 76th minute in West Ham United's goalless draw with West Brom at the Hawthorns on Saturday.

The 27 year old came on for Hernandez Chicarito with the hope of repeating same feat in their last game against Huddersfield on Monday.

The match itself was short on chances, with just two shots on target in the 90 minutes.

West Ham's Pedro Obiang provided the only real moment of quality, catching Ben Foster off his line and hitting the crossbar from just outside the centre circle.

After the break, Foster was perhaps lucky to escape with just a booking as he raced out of his box and lunged at the onrushing Javier Hernandez.

The result moves West Brom into the top half of the table, while the Hammers remain in the bottom three on goal difference.
