Andre Ayew’s position under threat as West Ham chases United’s Martial and Rashford

Deputy Captain of Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars, Andre Dede Ayew will have to do more to maintain a regular role at West Ham United following manager Slaven Bilic’s interest in Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

According to the Telegraph, the Hammers are plotting loan moves for Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford who have also struggled to make an impact this season at United.

Manager Bilic, is looking to bring forwards to the club in January and of a very high standard in order to get his team back on track compared to their performance last season.

West Ham knew where the back of the net was last season.

The Irons scored twice at Arsenal, a double at the Etihad Stadium and thumped three past Liverpool.

In 2016-17 though, the Irons seem clueless. In fact, they’ve amassed just 19 league goals so far this campaign, which is inferior to nineteenth placed Swansea City and less than half of Liverpool’s healthy tally.

Andre Ayew is still settling in following his injury suffered back in August and will need to bounce back quickly to earn a place.

The Ghana forward is expected to join the Black stars in Gabon for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations slated for January and will need to return stronger to walk straight into the Hammers starting line-up.
