As reported by theSun,Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has been bizarrely punished by the Spanish FA for revealing a birthday message for his girlfriend from under his shirt after scoring against Valencia on Sunday.
The prolific French forward scored the opening goal of the 3-0 victory and instead of his trademark phone call celebration, he decided to show his adoration for his partner.

"Feliz Cumple Gordita", which translates to, "Happy Birthday Chubby" was printed on his shirt and at the time Griezmann did not receive a booking for the celebration dedicated to his partner, Erika Choperena.
"Gordita" is a term of endearment in Spanish and while it may have seemed lighthearted, the Spanish FA decided to punish the striker with a £520 fine and a warning.
Griezmann took to Twitter to voice his outrage at the frankly, ridiculous decision.
Multa y amonestacion por felicitar a mi mujer y eso 3 dias despues... #PreocupateDeOtrasCosas pic.twitter.com/5gkP5MFGrP
The tweets translatedis:"Fine and reprimand for congratulating my wife and 3 days later... #WorryAboutOtherThings."
While most are taking a similar stance as Griezmann, it is likely now that he will be further prosecuted for his social media outburst.
