In a world that is often far too cynical, it's always nice to hear positive things. That, of course,extends to the world of football and with that in mind, Atletico Madrid and France star Antoine Griezmann has spread the loveby picking out a Premier League star as his favourite German player:
The man in question is none other than Arsenal magician Mesut Ozil.
Speaking to Reviersport - via theExpress-Griezmann had this to say about the World Cup winner:
"He's an outstanding player. I rate his style of play, his passing quality and also that he always finds a solution with a long ball or a dribble. He's elegant with the ball.
"I also liked Miroslav Klose, as a scorer with a nose for goal and strong on headers. I really liked how he tracked back."
While we can't besure if Ozil would return the favour by naming Griezmann as his favourite French star, the Atletico forward would certainly make more than a few people's lists - indeed, he'sbeen named alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as the top three in the FIFA Player of the Year award.
Griezmann's comments came before Atletico facedBayern Munich in the final game of their respective Champions League group - while Atletico lost the game 1-0, they still go through to the knockout rounds as group leaders.
Bayern will join them after finishing second.
