Antonio Conte counting on Baba Rahman's return before end of the year

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is counting on Baba Rahman's return as he fins solution to his injury wrecked team. 

Ghana defender Baba Rahman has been out since January after sustaining an injury at the Africa Cup of nations in Gabon.

 The former Augsburg defender signed for the Blues for 20.5 million pounds but struggled to impose himself in the starting team.

Baba Rahman was loaned out to German Bundesliga side Schalke ut could not complete the season due to injury.

There were initial hopes that he could be back in time for the start of the season but that has proved unsuccessful with two months into the new season.

“We are hoping that he would be back before the year ends,” Antonio said while addressing the media

“He is an option and we are shot of men but we have to take it carefully because his situation was complicated.”

Chelsea has struggled recently with Moratta, Kante, Drinkwater and Victor Moses all facing their individual fitness issues.The London-based side will take on Watford in the English Premier League this weekend.
