Argentina boss Edgardo Bauza has only just taken over as manager of Argentina, but already has one significant achievement.

The new Argentina boss managed to convince Barcelona's superstar to reverse his decision on international retirement following another Copa America final defeat at the hands of Chile.

Lionel Messi has 'no problems' and is fit to play for Argentina according to coach Edgardo Bauza https://t.co/KJoiANTEXH [Daily Mail]

It is unlikely that Lionel Messi will feature in Bauza's first game in charge of the South American giants as Messi overcomes a sore thigh and groin, according toSport.

However, Messi's choice to travel with his national side to Buenos Aires to link up with his international teammates has sparked another club vs country disagreement, with country coming out on top.

Barcelona had been wanting their star player to recover with them, however Messi declined their request despite the fact he had injured himself while playing for Barcelona.

The Argentina boss claims that the 29-year-old defied Barcelona's request, which has caused another dispute between Messi and Barcelona in theongoing row between club and country.

"The club recommended against him travelling but he said 'No, no, I am travelling'", Bauza said in an interview with Fox Argentina.

According to theDaily Mail,Bauza 'sees no problem' with Messi linking up with his fellow countrymen and believes he 'will be required' to help navigate his side to the 2018 world cup in Russia.

Messi's evident desire to play for Argentina and even as far to go against his clubs wishes does really bring clouds over his previous decision to retire from international duty originally and question the real motives that lead to him making that initial decision.

Argentina now face a world cup qualifier clash with Luis Suarez's Uruguay as the road to the 2018 world cup begins.
