Arsenal goalkeeperWojciech SzczÄ'sny is heading back to Roma on another loan deal, according to Sky Sports.

He is believed to have undergone a medical on Thursday ahead of the deal, and it is understood that Roma do not have the option to make it a permanent one.

They will, however, pay his£46,000-a-week wages and giveArsenal an £840,000 loan fee.

After landing at theFiumicino Airport in the Italian capital, he said:"I'm fine, and I'm happy to be back."

SzczÄ'sny joined Arsenal in 2006 as a part of their youth set-up, eventuallyprogressing to the first team and making his senior debut in 2009.

He would be loaned to Brentford later that season, and spent five straight campaigns with the Gunners upon his return. Things went sour, however, after he was caught smoking in the showers after a 2-0 defeat to Southampton in 2015.

Cech's arrival saw things get even worse for the Poland international, and he was subsequently shipped off to Roma on loan.

His last appearance for Arsenal came in the 2015 FA Cup final which the Gunners won 4-0.
