Arsene Wenger has urged his Arsenal players to maintain their consistency throughout the season as they bid to end a 13-year wait for a Premier League title.

As per theDaily Star, the Gunners boss saidhe believes it's still too early to speculate about which English top flight side has the best chance of wrenching the Premier League crown from reigning champions Leicester City, but called on his charges to keep plugging away with the view to picking up their first championship since 2003/04.

Arsenal find themselves second in the Premier League standings after eight matches - their haul of 19 points from a possible 24 putting them level at the top with early pace setters Manchester City.

Only goal difference separates the Londoners from Pep Guardiola's table toppers but, despite sitting pretty in the standings, Arsenal have looked vulnerable defensively this term and could come to rue their lack of solidity at the back come the end of the season.

Wenger, who was speaking to the press ahead of his side's Champions League clash against FC Ludogorets, now wants his first-team squad to stay focused domestically, with the aim of handing Arsenal supporters a long overdue Premier League title win.

He said: "It's difficult to say, to predict (who will win the Premier League), but what you see after eight games played ” it's tight.
