Asamoah Gyan picks Majeed Waris as his best Ghanaian player in Europe this season

Ghana Captain Asamoah Gyan has chosen strike partner Abdul Majeed Waris as his best Ghanaian player in Europe this season.

 

Abdul Majeed Waris was on top form for Club side Lorient in the second round of the season scoring 9 times despite being relegated to the Ligue 2.

 

The 25 year old’s form has alerted club’s in France for his signature with Girondix Bordeaux being the front runners.

 

However, the former French Champions are being scared away by a reported 5 million Euros by out clause.

 

Asamoah Gyan who was speaking on Metro Tv after achieving another incredible milestone in his career- scoring his 50th international goal- said Waris was his ma of the season.

 

”Waris is my best Ghanaian player in Europe this season” the 31 year old said’

” Seriously Waris was in top form, he was scoring some good goals though Lorient were relegated I feel he had a fantastic season with them,” he added.

 

Abdul Majeed Waris and Asamoah Gyan formed a great partnership under Kwesi Appiah’s first spell but the former replaced the captain in the 5-0 thrashing of Ethiopia on Sunday.

 

The pair will look are reigniting that form, however, will face competition from the likes of Raphael Dwamena, who got a brace on Sunday and Jordan Ayew.
