Asante Kotoko have parted ways with  coach Zdravko Lugarusic after just four months in charge of the club.

The management of the club took the decision on Sunday after their goalless draw with Ebusua Dwarfs at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

According a publication on the club website, the decision was taken after a emergency management meeting at their secretariat.

''Zdravko’s contract has been terminated. He has accepted the official notification given to him. Assistant coach, Godwin Ablordey will train with the team until further notice,'' the club's head of Communications Obed Acheampong told Asantekotokosc.com.

Lugarusic was appointed on 10 January and has since won five matches, drawn four and lost two in 11 outings.

The Croat leaves with Kotoko in second place; four points behind leaders WAFA.
