Asante Kotoko chairman Kwame Kyei has cut a sod for the construction of a mini stadium at Adako Jachie.
Dr Kyei and some other board members of the club was at the team's training ground on Wednesday morning to officially announce and started the process of getting a mini venue for the club.
The move is in fulfillment of his promise when life patron of the team Otumfuo Osei Tutu II appointed him as head of the team.
The facility is expected to be ready in the shortest possible time.
Kotoko have been using the Babayara Sports Stadium as their home venue since the Club was established 80 years ago.
