AshantiGold Chief Executive Officer, Fredrick Acheampong has confirmed that his outfit has appointed former Berekum Chelsea coach Svetislav Tanasijevic as the Youth coach of the club.
The 40-year-old gaffer who joined Berekum based side at the beginning of the season has part ways with the club for an undisclosed reason and has now penned down a year contract with the Obuasi based club.
Confirming the signing of the Serbian, Fredrick Acheampong explained the role of Svetislav Tanasijevic in an interview with Kumasi based Kessben FM.
“Is true, we have sign Tanasijevic, he left Chelsea, We met him at the airport going back to his country, and we did our best to secure his signature. He will be the coach in charge of our youth development. The youth development is very important for us”
Mr Acheampong also squashed rumours that Tanasejevic will be the technical director of the club.
“John Christiansen is the head of the technical team, coach Mambo is the assistant coach of the club, before Tanasijevic.
"He will solely work on the youth team and act as spy to our opponents,” he added.
