Ashantigold Coach C.K Akunor says he is proud of the performance of his players following their stunning 1-0 win over Accra Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.

The miners have been on a good run of form in the second round, and have added the phobians to the list of their victims by snatching all three points at the Accra Sports Stadium in the match day 20 of the Ghana Premier League.

Daniel Gozah’s goal in the 11th minute was enough as the miners continue with their rich vein of form.

Coach of the side and former manager of Accra Hearts of Oak C.K Akunor was full of praise for his player after the game.

“I’m very very happy with the result. It was a wonderful performance from the team; another step forward. It was a good game,” he said after the game.

“For them to have performed the way they did here today, it was fantastic. I’m so proud of them,” he added.

The win lifts the miners from the bottom three with 25 points. Ashantigold will next face league leaders WAFA in Obuasi.
