Ghana coach Avram Grant has lauded the the performance of Ghanaian players in Europe this season.
Players such as Daniel Amartey and Jeffrey Schlupp won the English premier league with Leicester city and FC Copenhagen while Andrew Ayew was an instant hit at Swansea city after scoring 12 goals in his debut season.
Thomas Partey also played in the UEFA Champions league final but unfortunately his side Athletico Madrid could not win as they lost 5-3 to Real Madrid on penalties.
“I think they played well because since the AFCON, all the players are playing good teams in Europe and i know their clubs are also happy with their performances”
“we also speak about mentality and now in the English league we have a number of players who are doing well,and across other European leagues,
“our players did so well so am impressed” Grant told the press after Black Stars training.
Grant will be hoping that his Black Stars seal qualification to the Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Gabon next year.
