Ghana defender Baba Rahman says he is determined to help his club side Schalke O4 qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League.

Baba has rejoined Schalke on an 18-month loan from Chelsea after recovering from a knee injury.

The 23-year-old spent the first half of last season on loan at the Bundesliga club before he sustained a serious knee injury during the Africa Cup of Nations where he was representing his nation Ghana.

“I’m delighted to be here once again,” Baba told Schalke TV.

“I think coming back is the best decision I could have made. I am super happy."

“The club has a lot of faith in me. That made my decision a simple one."

“The team has been great with me and I want to return the favour."

“I am looking forward to continuing my journey and potentially playing in the Champions League next season. I will give everything to achieve that aim.”
