Barnsley boss worried about Andy Yiadom’s fitness

Coach of English Championship side Barnsley is worried by the fitness level of Ghanaian right back Andy Yiadom.

The defender has been out for months but is on the road to recovery. However, manager Paul Heckingbottom is in no rush to get the Ghanaian onto the pitch.

Andy Yiadom has not played any game for the club this season but will look forward to return quickly to join his side.

"He has played no minutes whatsoever, which is difficult. But he has looked fine in training and had a week and a half now and bit by bit, he is getting better. It is a case of what can we do to speed that up and get him match-fit sooner rather than later." he said.

The 25 year old was a huge subject of interest during the summer and nearly joined newly promoted side Huddlesfield but the deal failed to materialized.

Barnsley face Hull City on Saturday.
