Ebusua Dwarfs gaffer Bashir Hayford has been named the new head coach of the Black Queens according to reports.

The experienced trainer is currently with the team at the Ghanaman Soccer School of Excellence in Prampram preparing them for the upcoming African Women Nations Cup which will be staged in Ghana.

Mercy Tagoe will revert to her deputy role after guiding the team to win the 2018 WAFU Zone B Cup following the departure of Didi Dramani.

However, the ex-Asante Kotoko coach will continue in his role as the head coach of GPL club Ebusua Dwarfs.

Hayford’s appointment is the first major one done by the Liaison Team since they were handed the mandate to manage all the national teams following the injunction placed on the Ghana FA.
