He has scored eight goals in 11 games in Germany and his success there contrasts with a miserable time in England so far with Batshuayi having started for Chelsea in the Premier League just four times in the 18 months spent with the reigning champions.

So his loan move has so far been a huge success, especially with an eye on the Russia World Cup this summer and the Belgian says, after a difficult time with Chelsea, it is good to get his career back on track.

He said: "I was very well received by Dortmund, by the whole club. I felt a lot of love, a footballer is stronger when he has confidence.

"I didn't expect to find my efficiency so quickly. This is the real Michy, but I still want more.

"The fans are unbelievable and the stadium is beautiful. I really never expected to settle so quickly."

Batshuayi is currently on international duty as part of the Belgian squad that is preparing to take on Saudi Arabia in a friendly on Tuesday.

Belgium have three more warm-up games, against Portugal, Egypt and Costa Rica before they start their World Cup campaign against Panama on 18th June before further group games against Tunisia and England.

Belgium are 8/13 to qualify for the quarter-finals of the World Cup and are 2/1 to reach the last four.

Batshuayi is 100/1 to be the tournament's leading scorer with England's Harry Kane priced at 16/1.
