Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Brandt seeks Liverpool assurances from Klopp

Liverpool face a battle to convince Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Julian Brandt about a move to Anfield.

The Sun says Jurgen Klopp has £25million ready for the Bayer Leverkusen star, his main priority in the summer window.

Insiders say the relationship between the German chief and his fellow countryman is strong as he closes in on a major deal.

But Brandt, 20, is unsure that he will get into the Liverpool team on a regular basis and may stay at Leverkusen.

He has turned down moves to England in the past because he wants regular football.

Chelsea and Manchester City were snubbed in raids for Brandt, who has five senior caps, when he was at Wolfsburg and when he first went to Leverkusen.
