After scoring 17 goals in 28 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen last season, ex-Manchester United striker Chicharito will having been hoping for another stellar Bundesligacampaign.
According to reports, however, he'll have to wait on that, as he has been sidelined for two weeks with a hand fracture after falling down the stairs at home on Saturday evening.

As such, the 28-year-old will miss his side's opener againstBorussia Monchengladbach and Mexico'sCONCACAF matches vs El Salvador and Honduras.
A club statementread:"Hernandez sustained a fracture of his right middle hand when he fell down the stairs of his home last night...
"He will not be able to play at Monchengladbach, and is set for at least two weeks on the sidelines..."

The club added that Chicharito underwent successful surgery on Tuesday, so fingers crossed he makes a speedy recovery!
