Officials of Bechem United have given the head coach of the club, Manuel Zacharias, an ultimatum to report by close of day tomorrow or consider his contract revoked.

Sources close to the club say Zacharias had since winning the MTN FA Cup with the Brong Ahafo-based club gone AWOL, to the displeasure of management.

The source said all efforts by the president of the club, Kingsley Owusu Achau, to get Zacharias to trash out issues about pre-season preparations, as well as other matters relating to the progress of the club in the coming season, had proved fruitless.

A letter which was sighted by the Graphic Sports, a copy of which was served the coach yesterday, the club president said, “based on the clause in your contract which stipulates that both parties have the right to review the terms of the contract at the end of the first year, we held a meeting about two months ago finding out about your preparedness to continue your contract with us but the club is yet to hear anything definite from you”.

“The president of the club has also extended an invitation to you twice to discuss the issues and the way foward but all have proved futile”.

It claimed that the club suspected that Zacharias was flirting with Accra Hearts of Oak even though Bechem United had started its pre-season preparations, a situation which Coach Zacharias was aware of.

The letter, therefore, asked Zacharias to respond, on receiving the letter, by close of tomorrow or consider his ties with Bechem United abrogated.
