Gent left-back Nana Kwesi Asare has been named in the Black Stars squad for Ghana’s international friendly against Guinea and 2017 Afcon qualifier against Mauritius.
The young striker has failed to secure a place in the Black Stars team despite his fine form in the last two seasons for his club side.
This is his second Black Stars call up after receiving the maiden one during an international friendly against Cape Verde in Portugal in 2013.
He however faces stiff competition from Chelsea left-back Abdul Baba Rahman and Leicester City’s Jeffery Schlupp who have all cemented their places in the Black Stars team.
