Players and Management team members of the female national under-17 team, the Black Maidens paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Oguaa Traditional Area, Osaberima Kwesi Atta II at his Emintsimadze Palace in the Central Regional capital.

Mr. Augustine Asante, who led the delegation asked for prayers and blessing from the chiefs and people of Cape Coast as they prepare for Gambia in Saturday’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying match.

Chief of Oguaa Osaberima Kwes Atta II welcomed the team warmly saying that football in Ghana started from Cape Coast and no national team has lost a game there so they should work hard to maintain that history.

He also encouraged Mukarama Abdulai who scored four goals a fortnight ago in Bakau, Gambia to score more. Kick off for Saturday’s game is 3pm. The Maidens won the first leg 5-1.
