Ghana U20 male team has rejected an artificial training pitch offered by hosts Ethiopia ahead of Sunday’s 2017 Africa Youth Championship qualifier in Addis Ababa.

Coach Masud Didi Dramani explained that the game will be played on a natural grass so he didn't why they offered his team to train on an artificial pitch.

“The match will be played on a natural grass but they offered us an artificial ground to train so i told them astro is not what the official game will be played on and that we want to have a feel of a natural one," he said

“We will start training this morning, a reawakening session which will be some walking and series of movement just to aid blood circulation.

"In the afternoon, we will train at the match time and tomorrow (Saturday) also we will continue at the match venue at 4pm local time.

Coach Dramani however mentioned that reception from the hosts has been good since arrival in the Ethiopian capital Thursday night.

“We arrived safely and we were met on arrival by our hosts and officials of the Ghanaian embassy. We had a smooth reception unlike when I came with the Black Princesses.
