Defender Abdul Razak Yusif has returned to training ahead of Ghana’s round of 16 clash with Niger on Wednesday.

The center-back re-joined group training after being declared fit by the team doctors.

Yusif missed Ghana’s final group match against India with a head injury.

The Koforidua youth defender who had featured in Ghana’s first two matches had to be replaced by Bismark Owusu Terry in the team’s final group match.

The player is now set to return to the starting line-up when Ghana takes on Niger on Wednesday.

He trained with the team on Sunday and Monday which makes him ready for action.

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin is likely to hand the defender a place in the starting line up in the next game.

Ghana’s quest to win the title will be on cause should the team defeat their African counterparts.

The Black Stars won on penalties the last time the two sides met in the Africa U17 Championship in Gabon .
