Black Starlets defender Faisa Osman has undergone successful surgery after suffering an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury.

The 17 year old suffered the injury which ruled him out of the FIFA World Cup in India in October.

The Kumasi Young Vipers player went under the knife through the benevolence of an unnamed agent in Italy.

Faisal will be out for the next three according to doctors who operated on the youngster. The player has started with the rehabilitation process and is reported to be leaving in the house of Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman Badu.

Faisal represented Ghana at the Africa Junior Championship earlier this year where he formed a strong partnership with Yussif Razak as the Black Starlets place second.

The Vipers defender was hopeful he will return a better player after his recovery.

“The operation went well and I thank Allah for seeing me through. What’s left now is the healing process. I am confident it will also be smooth. Hopefully, Ghanaians will see me back on the field soon”, he told footballmadeinghana.com.
