The National under 17 team, the Black Starlets of Ghana will depart for Gabon today for the Africa Junior Championship to be held on Gabon.
The team that has been the main supply source of talents for the other national teams is looking at winning the tournament they won in 1995 and 1999.
However, Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has sets sight on a world Cup ticket first. A tournament the twinkle twinkle little stars have won twice.
Before their departure the team is expected to meet the Sports Minister, Hon. Isaac Asiamah.
Ghana are in group A with host Gabon, West African neighbors Guinea and Cameroon.
The tournament will begin on May 14 and end on the 28th of the same month.
