Black Stars B captain Daniel Darkwa dispels injury fear

The Captain of the Black Stars team B, Daniel Darkwah has cleared the air with issues regarding his fitness ahead of the second leg of the Championship of African Nations qualifier against Burkina Faso.

The Aduana Stars left back was substituted in Ghana’s 2-2 draw with the local Stallions of Burkina Faso in Ouagadougou after fears of injury following a collision with a Burkina Faso player.

However, the played said after the game in an interview that he was fit and will be ready for the second leg in Kumasi.

“The injury is not all that serious but I was feeling bad and was worried looking at the time I had to leave the game. But I’m 100% percent sure of playing in the second leg,” Darkwah said in an interview.

Ghana will host the Burkinabe’s on Sunday with a ticket to Kenya 2018 on the line.

The Black Stars team B have twice been in the finals of the Championship created for only players in the domestic leagues on the continent, losing in the maiden edition to DR Congo and to Libya in 2014.
