Ghana and Swansea City forward Jordan Ayew has revealed he is not worried about his new role as a winger under Coach Paul Clement.
Ayew came off the bench at Hull after he replaced the injured Fernando Llorente at half-time. The 25-year-old led the line for the second half, which is just one of many attacking positions he is capable of fulfilling. His previous appearances off the bench also saw him play on the wing, but he insists he’s happy to feature in whichever position Clement sees fit. “Everyone asks me that question, but to be fair I don’t mind. As long as I am on the pitch, I can give 100 per cent for the team. “Hopefully then I can be efficient and decisive. “In France I usually played up front. Then, when I went to Aston Villa I played everywhere. I was up front, behind the striker, on the wing. Sometimes when we were attacking I was used in holding midfield! “I don’t mind which position I play, so long as I am on the pitch. I love the game so I don’t mind. “I have had to be patient for my chance as the team has been doing well. “I have had some minutes on the pitch but the main thing is we keep winning until the end of the season, because then we will still be in the Premier League next season.”
