Black Stars team B players released to join clubs for Ghana Premier League

Players of the local Blacks Stars, who have been in camp since the first round break of the Ghana Premier League, have been dispersed to join their various club’s as the second round of the league begins this weekend.

 

The Black Stars team B were camped for almost two weeks as they prepared for the Championship of Nations (CHAN)  qualifies against Burkina Faso and the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) tournament to be hosted by Ghana.

 

Ghana were held to a 1-1 draw in an international friendly with Benin at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday.

 

Defender Awal Mohammed converted expertly from the spot to cancel out the early lead by the squirrels of Benin through Ibrahim Oguodolola.

 

The thirty players invited to camp were released for the weekends Ghana Premier League games and will be recalled for preparations to continue and for the team to be cut down to the required twenty three players.
