French side Girondex Bordeaux could be swayed away from signing Ghana international Abdul Majeed Waris after it emerged there is a 5million Euros release clause to his contract.
The Black Stars forward has been on the radar of the Bordeaux after Lorient were relegated to the Ligue 2.
Abdul Majeed waris who had a good finish to the season and has been linked with several clubs but Bordeaux have shown real interest in the player who scored 9 goals for a troubled Lorient side.
It is understood Bordeaux are determined to use funds from the sale of Diego Rolan to sign the Ghanaian.
However the asking price seems to be the limiting factor.
Abdul Majeed Waris is on international duty with the Black Stars of Ghana as they prepare ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia on Sunday.
