Oti Akenteng, a member of the two-man CAF/FIFA liaison team,  has praised Aduana Stas players after the Ghanaian champions defeated AS Vita 2-1 in the CAF Confederation Cup on Wednesday.

Coach Yatsuhashi guided the Dormaa based side to their first win of the CAF's second-tier competition courtesy goals from Bright Adjei and Yahaya Mohammed before Glody Muzinga reduced the deficit for the visitors.

Aduana didn't have the best of preparations ahead of the encounter following government's decision to halt football in the country in the wake of the investigative piece by ace journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas on corruption on Ghana football.

The experienced Administrator has praised the players and is confident the team will progress to the next stage of the competition.

"Looking at our circumstances, I think Aduana Stars players did their best."

"Because it was a difficult game and the fitness level of players weren't good," he stated on Happy FM.

"Yahaya Mohammed was excellent yesterday."

"His fitness level was good compared to the rest of his teammates; he really worked hard to augment the fall short of his colleagues."

"Kenichi is a good coach and with good training, I believe they will excel in their next match in Congo."

Aduana Stars have moved to 3rd on the Group A table with four points after three games.
