CAF General Secretary Hicham El Amrani quits post

General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football ( CAF) Hicham El Amrani has resigned from his post.

The 37-year-old Moroccan was appointed as the General Secretary of the Confederation of African football  in September 2011.

El Amrani succeeded Egyptian Mustapha Famy in the position which he had held for 28 years, initially as an interim solution in October 2010.

Previously he had worked for the Asian Football Confederation and was involved with marketing of their competitions.

Egyptian Essam El Din Ahmed succeeds him temporarily.
