Carragher asks Mane about red card

Facing Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday night, Sadio Mane played his last game for Liverpool before the start of his three-match ban.

The Senegal forward will sit out the games as punishment for studding Man City goalkeeper Ederson in the face during last weekend's meeting between the two sides.

Much was made of the incident in the aftermath, with most of the debate centring on whether or not Mane deserved to see a straight red card for his part in the accidental clash.

Not one for beating around the bush, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher took advantage of his pitchside position at Anfield by calling Mane over and asking him face to face.

Nothing beats the direct approach, though it would appear that Mane is well versed in the diplomatic art of running away without saying a word!

Liverpool went on to muster a 2-2 draw against Sevilla, thus getting their Group E campaign off to a slightly underwhelming start.
