Chelsea encourage Marseille bid for Loic Remy

Published on: 23 June 2017

Chelsea are ready to cash in on Loic Remy this summer.

He still has 12 months to run on his £80,000-a-week contract but does not feature in Antonio Conte's plans and is keen to move on, says The Sun.

And Chelsea will not stand in the way of his departure despite paying £8.5million to sign the French international from QPR three years ago.

Remy, 30, started just one Premier League game for Crystal Palace last season and it is more than 18 months since he scored his last goal back in December, 2015.

Former club Marseille could be interested in a reunion but the player would need to agree to a major wage cut for the move to happen.
