Chelsea and Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas says he will do everything to stop Lionel Messi from having a major influence over the game when the two sides meet on Wednesday.
Chelsea got a 1-1 draw at home in the first leg, and will need to better that scored draw or get a win if they are to progress into the quarter finals.
It is unclear if Fabregas will start, but the player knows his role if he does get the nod.
"If I am lucky enough to play, it's true that we are positioned in nearby areas of the pitch, stopping him will be difficult but I will try to do everything possible so that he feels uncomfortable and can't put together a perfect performance," he said to Marca.
"I see him as a rival who wants to win, and I want the same thing. We are in different teams and each player wants what is best for their own club. Obviously, you always have respect for each other."
