Coach Yusif Basigi thinks new Black Princesses role is not demotion

Veteran Ghana coach Yusif Basigi says he is not worried the fact that he has been moved from the Black Queens to the Black Princesses.

Basigi has been confirmed as head coach of the female U20 side, years after handling the senior female team.

Many see the move as a demotion but the former Hassacas coach doesn't think so.

“It’s not a demotion at all because those who were there were senior men.

“Adotey, Bashir Hayford, Didi Dramani are all my senior colleagues and so I think that it’s not a demotion,”  he told Starr Sports.

Coach Yusif Basigi handled the Black Queens for five years and won the team’s first gold medal at the 2015 All Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville.
