CONFIRMED: Hearts of Oak sack Frank Nuttall

Hearts of Oak have officially part ways with head coach Frank Nuttall.

The Scottish trainer was suspended indefinitely for unsporting and unethical behaviour with a three-member instituted to investigate the dealings of the coach.

After the findings of the committee, it has been established that the former Zamalek FC gaffer was the reason behind players refusal to extend their contract with the promise of getting them a new club abroad.

The club have appointed Henry Wellington who was the assistant to the Scottish trainer has been placed to act as the interim coach ahead of the season.

Nuttall penned down a two-year deal to become manager of Hearts of Oak ahead of the 2016/17 GPL season.

In his debut season, he finished in the top four and guided the Phobians to their first FA Cup final in over a decade but they missed winning the FA Cup to the bitterest rival Asante Kotoko.

Ahead of the 2017/18, he also led the team to the finals of the 2018 GHALCA G8 tournament finals but lost the trophy to Dreams FC.
