CONFIRMED: Match Day 17 of the Ghana Premier League to be rescheduled

Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Kudjo Fianoo says the Match day 17 of the Ghana Premier League will be fixed at another date to make way for the President Cup.

The President Cup is an annual game played to honour the commander in Chief of the country on 1st July. It is usually played between two clubs but the format has been changed with more clubs involved and being played across the country.

The main game will between the countries two glamorous clubs, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

According to Kudjo Fiano, who was speaking on Nhyira FM GHALCA will find a date for match day 17 so that fixtures for the President Cup will be honoured.

“We will find a date for match day 17 so that will get the chance to clear the President Cup matches,” he said.

“We all know on 1st July, there is a game to honour the president. It’s because of legal issues that we are at this point but we have a plan in place for the schedule.”

Accra Hears of Oak are defending Champions of the President Cup.
