Former Accra Hearts of Oak defender, Dan Quaye has revealed that he is better than Black Stars defender John Boye and other players in the national team.

The Black Stars head coach Avram Grant has named his 23 man squad to play Rwanda in the last AFCON qualifiers but former Elven Wise player Daniel Quaye who currently plays for 1st Division club, Great Olympics is not comfortable with many foreign based players that get the call up.

In an interview with Takoradi based Aseda FM, Dan Quaye revealed that he is much better than John Boye and many Black Stars players.

“I have not change, I tell you, you can ask some of your colleague journalists that watch our matches, and they will testify everything to you”.

“John Boye and those at Europe, they don’t play regular side, if anyone tells you they play regular side, is not true”.

“Ghanaian players who play regular side for their teams at Europe is not even up to ten players or they think we don’t know. I have been there for so many years, I have the self-confidence to play in Black Stars”.

Dan Quaye played for Hearts of Oak for 9 years from 1998 to 2007 before joining Chongqing Lifan at China in 2007 and also joined Hearts of Oak back in 2008.
