Chicago Fire forward David Accam is grateful that all his Black Stars teammates emerged unscathed after the international break.

The Black Stars played two games comprising a 2017 AFCON qualifier and an international friendly in just four days.

They played against Rwanda in Accra om Saturday in a game that ended 1-1 and saw Accam receive bashing for his profligacy in front of goal.

The Stars then jetted-off to Moscow as guests of Russia where they lost 1-0 on Tuesday.

However, despite the poor results Accam is thankful that the Black Stars squad recorded no injuries in either game.

"Thank God for an injury free international break. Back to chi town to continue our final push #cf97," he wrote in a post on instagram.

Accam will be hoping to see-out the remainder of the campaign with Chicago Fire even though they have no hopes of making the play-offs after a miserable campaign.
